Your donations are changing the fabric of Orthodoxy in America. Campaign Updates – June’26

Every gift processed through Commonwealth helps strengthen the American Orthodox church because it fosters love and mercy in our hearts while helping alleviate suffering in real time. Here's how some of your gifts have supported our brothers and sisters in Christ this month.

Help Matthew Overcome End-Stage Heart Failure

Dear family, friends, and faithful supporters,With humble and grateful hearts, we want to thank each and every one of you for the love, prayers, generosity, and encouragement you have shown our family throughout this journey. Your kindness has carried us through one of the most difficult seasons of our lives and reminded us that we are never alone.

By the grace of God and through the selfless gift of organ donation, my husband successfully received his heart transplant. While there is still a long road of healing and recovery ahead, we are filled with hope and thanksgiving for this incredible blessing.

We are deeply grateful not only for your financial support, but for every prayer offered, every message sent, and every act of compassion shown to our family. We also hold in our hearts the donor and their loved ones, whose extraordinary gift has made this new chapter possible.

May God bless each of you for the generosity and love you have shared with us. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers as we walk the path of recovery, and know that you will remain in ours.

Glory to God in all things,
Ashley, Matthew and family

Family of 10 Needs Support After Injury

The Brigham family

Dear friends,

We’ve been able to repair our vehicles and have more reliability with going to my appointments and Jay being able to go to work and not worry if he’s gonna break down in the middle of a job. I’ve continued to heal, and we continue to make my appointments regularly in Columbia, Missouri. I haven’t had surgery yet because the doctor was so pleased with my progress so far he wants to see how much better I will get before scheduling a surgery date!

Thank God!
Jay & Dezra Brigham
