Help Seraphim Breathe Easier

Restore employment and health for an Orthodox family living in the Philippines

Summary

Seraphim Fimmel is an Orthodox Christian living with a severe and progressive lung disease called Advanced COPD which makes it almost constantly difficult for him to breathe.

His condition has forced him to stop working which has left him and his wife Genevieve in a daily struggle to afford food utilities and essential medical care. They are doing everything they can to endure this season but their situation has become increasingly difficult and they need support to rebuild their stability.

Clergy Verification

We have personally verified Seraphim’s needs by contacting local clergy who have vouched for Seraphim and support this effort.

  • Hieromonk Korniliy (Molev) – Secretary of the Philippine -Vietnamese Diocese (Moscow Patriarchate)
  • Rt. Rev. Abbot Theodore (Phillips)  – The Orthodox Monastery of Our Lady and Saint Laurence  (Cañon City, CO)

A Sustainable Solution

One of the most reliable and realistic ways for Seraphim to regain steady income is through small scale livestock. Before his health declined Seraphim had experience raising pigs and selling them locally. This work can be done from home with manageable daily tasks that do not require heavy physical labor. It is one of the few income sources that fits within the limits of his condition while offering genuine long term promise for financial stability.

Our goal is to help Seraphim purchase several piglets along with the basic materials needed to raise and grow them to market weight. This will allow him to restart a small home based business that provides consistent income and restores a sense of direction for their family.
