Clergy Leadership

The Vision
We are building a place of refuge and rest in a world that is constantly suffering from unrest. Just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean and surrounded by the beautiful countryside of Coastal California is 123 acres waiting to host those seeking to meet the Lord.
With your help, this land will become a place of refuge, retreat, and prayer for the faithful of the growing Orthodox Church in America but also for its clergy and their families who also need times of respite as they labor to bring the Gospel to the hearts of others.

The Property
This land already has five homes, outbuildings, fenced pasture land, and areas available to build cabins and yurts for stays of solitude. With your help and trust in the Lord, this endeavor will bear fruit for generations to come and serve as a model to be replicated around the continent.

The Chapel & Prayer
At the heart of the retreat will stand a place set apart for worship, silence, and encounter with the Lord. This sacred space will anchor everything else on the land, reminding all who come that true rest is found in communion with God.
The life of the retreat will be shaped by a steady rhythm of prayer. Daily services will create a cycle that orders time around worship rather than distraction.

Agriculture & Stewardship
This land is not only a place for prayer and rest, but also a place of cultivation—both of the earth and of the soul. The 123 acres provide a unique opportunity to establish a small, sustainable agricultural life that supports the mission of the retreat center while serving others in tangible ways.
Portions of the existing pasture and open land can be used for gardens, orchards, and small-scale farming. Seasonal produce vegetables, fruit, herbs, and possibly honey or eggs can help feed retreat guests, clergy families, and volunteers who come to rest and serve. In time, this could grow into a rhythm of life where the land itself participates in the ministry of hospitality.
