The Challenge
Many Orthodox priests in the U.S. work a secular job to support their families while serving as a full-time clergy. For mission priests serving small parishes, that often means ministry happens before and after work, on weekends, and with barely enough compensation to pay the bills.
Carry the Burden With A Priest for 1 Year
We are raising $12,000 to provide one year of support for an Orthodox mission priest serving a small, needy mission parish in North America.
That support helps cover practical, day-to-day needs that allow a priest to remain present and focused, such as:
• basic family needs (housing, bills, car repairs etc.)
• church & liturgical expenses for the mission
• health insurance and medical costs
Why This Matters Today
Many churches are bursting at the seams and the need for missions and clergy in America has never been higher. It is critical for laypeople to support these men and their families who are dedicating their lives to serving God and anyone who may pass through their church doors. This campaign helps keep an Orthodox mission priest focused on ministry rather than scrambling to cover basic bills, so a mission parish can receive newcomers and build a thriving parish.
